Chapter 326 As If He Went Mad

“I just went in to…”

“To what?”

As Amanda was speaking, she suddenly got a plan and looked at J righteously. “Did you know that Mr. Pattinson wasn’t feeling well yesterday?”

J shook his head. “I didn’t. When did it happen?!”

“Yesterday. Mr. Pattinson almost called 000. You didn’t even know when such a major thing happened?”

“I went out on a business trip yesterday. How would I know?”

“Hmph, Mr. Pattinson sure is unlucky to have you as his secretary!”

J blinked. “So, you went in just now to see Mr. Pattinson?”

“Uh-huh!”

“Do you... have feelings for Mr. Pattinson?” J asked curiously.

Amanda shuddered. “Do you think I’m blind?”

J, “...”

“Even if I have feelings for a pig, for example, you, I wouldn’t like someone as insufferably arrogant as him! It’s like he’s looking down on everyone!” Amanda said.

For some reason, J found that statement very interesting.

Amanda scoffed and left.

J stood where he was and looked at her back, and the corners of his mouth faintly hooked upwards...

Wait, who did she say was a pig?

……

Mark walked into the office and frowned when he saw the thing on the table.

“What’s going on here?”

J looked at the item on the table and also froze.

“I’m not too sure either!”

Mark frowned and pressed on the phone extension. “Who brought in the item on the table?”

“I’m sorry, Mr. Pattinson. We’re not sure either!”

That was strange.

Mark opened it up and frowned when he saw what was inside.

J suddenly remembered something. “Mr. Pattinson, I remember. I saw Amanda Bowen coming out of your office earlier today. D-Did she bring this in?”

Amanda Bowen?

Mark frowned and said, “Throw it out!”

“Throw it?” J frowned. “Wouldn’t that be a waste?”

“Then you take it!”

J thought for a moment before taking it. “Thank you, Mr. Pattinson. In that case, I’ll accept it!”

Mark fell silent and sat down. “Give me last month’s balance sheet!”

“Yes, I’ll prepare it right away!”

J was about to leave when Mark suddenly frowned and covered his stomach with one hand.

Seeing this, J quickly walked over. “Mr. Pattinson, what’s wrong?”

“It’s nothing. It’s just the same old thing!”

“Did you not eat your meals on time again?” J asked.

Mark did not respond, but the answer was obvious.

At that time, J looked at the food in his hands and put it on the table. “Mr. Pattinson, you should eat something. If you get sick, I wouldn’t know how to explain it to the young master!”

“No need!”

“If you don’t want to eat this, I can buy something else for you. Right now, your health is most important. You can’t let the young master and young miss worry!”

Originally, Mark did not think that far, but his heart softened again when he heard of Hansel and Gretel.

“No need. I’ll just eat casually!”

J immediately presented the food. “Mr. Pattinson!”

Mark ate slowly.

The food was his favorite, but it did not look very good.

However, when Mark took the first bite, he was shocked.

This taste was familiar.

Lyla could not cook, but she cooked for him once. This was the taste.

Seeing Mark freeze, J asked from the side. “Mr. Pattinson, what’s wrong?”

“Who did you say sent this in?”

“Amanda Bowen!”

Hearing that name, Mark suddenly stood up and ran outside without saying a word.

J was stunned. He did not know what was happening, but he quickly followed after Mark.

In the design department, Amanda was sharing her food with Lily when Mark suddenly appeared.

He pulled her aside. “Who the hell are you?”

Amanda was also stunned. She did not expect Mark to have such a big reaction. “I-I’m me…” She said.

“Were you the one who took that thing into the office?” Mark asked anxiously. His eyes were wide open.

“Nope!” Amanda denied.

At that time, Mark saw what they were eating. “Are you sure?”

Amanda, “...”

It seemed like there was no way to continue lying.

“Fine, I put it there!”

“Who the hell are you?” Mark asked. “Do you know someone? Tell me right now!”

There were quite a few people in the design department who had not gone out to eat. When they saw Mark like this, they all watched from the side, not daring to speak.
