Chapter 328 Encounter

Hansel felt his blood boiling.

“Yes, we’re her relatives. Where is she now?”

“She went to Alpine City. Kyle only followed yesterday!” The person said.

At that moment, Hansel was so emotional he burst into tears.

Piers and Lingo also exchanged looks. They did not expect Lyla to still be alive.

“Do you know a way to contact her?” Hansel asked.

“I don’t know about that. Ms. Lowe was unconscious here for around two months and we didn’t meet much. She only woke up around half a month ago and stayed for a while before leaving!”

No matter what, getting news that Lyla was still alive was already a blessing for Hansel and Gretel.

The missed call he received that day should be from Mommy, and when he called back, the person who answered must have been Kyle...

Thinking this way, he immediately took out his phone and dialed the number again.

Lingo and Piers went up to talk to the person.

“Sorry, the phone you dialed is currently turned off. Please try again later!”

Damn it.

The phone was off.

Hansel held his phone, his thoughts racing. At that moment, he did not know what to do even though he was usually calm in these situations.

Gretel walked up and looked at him. “Hansel, Mommy must have gone to Alpine City to look for us. Do you think Daddy knows the news?!”

Hansel frowned deeply at that. “If Daddy knew, he’d definitely tell us about it immediately, but we haven’t gotten any calls from Daddy. He didn’t mention anything during the video previously either…”

“In other words, Daddy doesn’t know. But that man said that Mommy has been gone for a long time!”

Hansel also did not know how to explain this.

At that point, Lingo walked over. “No woman can stand playboys like your daddy!”

“What does that mean?” Hansel looked at Lingo.

Lingo did not know what to say.

“Do you know something?” Hansel asked. His immature face was indescribably serious.

Lingo felt a little guilty. “I do know a little something…”

“What is it?”

“These days, you’ve always been in headquarters so you might not know, but your daddy recently got a new girlfriend. I don’t remember what her name is, but it seems like today is the day of their engagement!”

Hansel and Gretel looked at each other.

“No, Daddy loves Mommy. He won’t do such a thing!”

“It’s the truth. If you don’t believe me, then ask Piers!”

They looked at Piers, who was silent and did not know what to say. He could only be quiet, but his silence explained everything.

Hansel was still rational. “Even if Daddy finds another woman, I don’t blame him, but if he finds out that Mommy is still alive, I don’t know what will happen to him!”

“Should we tell Daddy?” Gretel asked.

Hansel thought about it before saying, “Of course we do. Daddy has to know sooner or later. In that case, it’s better to let him know sooner. Besides, I believe that Daddy isn’t as heartless as he looks!”

“I agree!” Gretel very much agreed with that.

Lingo shrugged. “If you say so, then tell him!”

Hansel looked at Gretel, and the two nodded.

Then, Hansel took out his phone…

……

When Lyla and Mr. Rice walked in, they could see Mark and Delilah standing in the distance.

Dressed in a white suit, Mark looked handsome and dazzling, just like a prince from a fairy tale.

Lyla was so nervous her palms were sweating, but she still had no courage to face it.

“Mr. Rice, I’m going to the ladies!” Lyla said nervously.

“Okay, I’ll wait for you here!”

“You go on ahead. I might take a while!”

“Well, okay then. Remember to call me if you can’t find me when you come out!”

“I got it!”

After answering, Lyla looked at Mark in the distance and turned to enter the washroom a little miserably, afraid that Mark would see her.

Just as she walked there, Mark turned around and saw a figure. He frowned, finding it slightly familiar, but he had been hallucinating recently, so he did not think much about it.

He raised the glass in his hand and was about to drink when a waiter came up and collided with his hand, and the wine the glass splashed onto Mark’s body.

The waiter was frightened and immediately said, “I’m sorry, Mr. Pattinson. I didn’t mean to, I’m sorry, I’m sorry…”

Mark frowned and looked at his cuff. At that point, Delilah saw this and immediately walked over. “What happened? How could you be so careless? Don’t you know that today is our engagement ceremony?!”

“I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean to!” The waiter continued to apologize.

“You—” Delilah was about to say something when Mark interrupted. “Forget it, I’ll just wash it in the washroom!” Then, he walked away.

“Hey…” Delilah looked at him and was about to say something, but Mark had already walked away. She stood where she was and pursed her lips, sighing helplessly.

In the washroom.

Lyla looked in the mirror and took a deep breath.

She told herself to calm down. No matter what, she had to stay calm so she was no longer affected.

‘The reality has already happened,’ She thought to herself.

Thinking this way, she took a deep breath.

She turned and pulled open the door.

At that moment, Mark also walked over to the washroom. The moment Lyla opened the door, the two came face-to-face.

Two pairs of eyes met each other, and both of them froze.

Lyla found it hard to breathe and her eyes instantly turned red.

As for Mark, he wondered if he was seeing things.
