Rotten Twins: Making a CEO a Daddy นิยาย บท 20

Everything that happened was witnessed by Hansel as he was just out for a quick shopping.

“Mummy, you’ve anything to say to me?” Hansel spoke.

Stunned, Lyla followed up, “What do you mean?”

“The person who drove you back. Seems like a wealthy person!”

Lyla turned to look at him and started to walk home, “He’s my employer. Of course, he’s rich.”

“He’s your boss?!”

Hansel immediately chased after his mother.

“Mummy! Y-Y-Y-Y-You… Did you…”

“No! Nothing happened!” Lyla exclaimed immediately. She knew Hansel was going wild with his imagination.

“Nothing? Which kind of boss would drive his employee home when she’s got no means of transport?!” Hansel cried out in disbelief.

“Of course there is. You just saw him do that!” Lyla answered.

Hansel stared right into her with a face filled with disbelief.

“Whatever you’re thinking, forget about them! Nothing happened between me and my boss!” said Lyla before she sped forward.

Hansel followed from behind, staring at her silhouette as he spat, “That’s an unnecessary statement!”

The more she tried to explain, the more suspicious Hansel got.

Lyla herself was not one with many words. But the similarity between Hansel and Mark was too eerily close. Even then, she could not explain such a coincidence. Thus, she chose not to think and talk about it.

When she got back home, she smelled a wonderful scent permeating throughout the house.

Lyle Lowe had an apron wrapped around him as he was busy in the kitchen.

“Lyle, I’m home,” Lyla announced her return and sat on the sofa.

“I’m almost done here. I’ve stew coming up real soon!” Lyle poked his head out from the kitchen and exclaimed to Lyla.

“Okay!” Lyla replied. At that moment, she suddenly felt comfortable and good about the recent days. She was with her entire family and it felt truly fulfilling.

Just as she was in her sea of thought, Gretel came in like a squall, suddenly.

“Good evening, mummy!”
