Mark and Lyla slept until late morning.

They only woke up when it was almost time for lunch slightly before noon.

Accurately speaking, they were woken by hunger.

Lyla's stomach kept rumbling.

She opened her eyes and glanced at Mark, who was hugging her and sleeping soundly.

Lyla felt grateful to be able to wake up next to her beloved and knowing that he loved her deeply.

The corners of her mouth curled up into a smile.

She wanted to sneak up and get something to eat, but when she moved, Mark hugged her even tighter.

He muttered, "Where are you going?"

Lyla was stunned and asked, "You’re not asleep?"

Mark said without opening his eyes, "I was, but you moved and woke me up."

She said, "I'm hungry!"

"If you're hungry, get up and eat!"

"You can cook?"

"I’ll try."

Thus, Mark gave up. Lyla was just about to get out of bed, but Mark stopped her and was very reluctant in letting her leave.

She asked, "Mark Pattinson, do you want me to kick you off the bed?"

Mark then immediately got up and obediently got out of the way.

Lyla wanted to laugh seeing him like this, but she tried to hold back.

She got up and wanted to get dressed, but she found that Mark had already ruined her clothes. She felt helpless and put on one of his shirts nearby.

Lyla went downstairs to the kitchen. Since they had not been home for a long time, there was nothing to eat in the pantry. The refrigerator was also empty.

She looked all over the place and still did not find anything.

At that moment, she regretted letting Hansel stay at the Pattinson family home. Otherwise, she would have had a scrumptious breakfast waiting for her by this time.

Mark walked up from behind and asked, “Did you find anything?”

Lyla shook her head and said, "There’s nothing!"

Mark was happy to hear that. He held her hand and said, "Alright, don’t get mad. I promise you there won’t be a next time."

He looked like a full-on scoundrel.

Lyla coldly snorted and turned her head to look out the window, not wanting to talk to this scoundrel.

"Okay, I'll make amends later and buy you lunch!"

Lyla still did not say anything.

Mark grabbed her hand, then put it to his lips and kissed it lovingly.

She wanted to laugh, but she did not want him to see it, so she looked outside with a hint of a smile on her face.

Soon the couple arrived at the restaurant.

When they ordered a table full of dishes, the waiter was dumbfounded.

"Is this all for the two of you?"

When Mark heard this, his face was blank and he asked, "Do you think that I can't afford to pay all this?"

"No, I don't mean that. I just think it might be too much for two people..."

"Can’t we have a big appetite?"

The waiter was speechless.

At that moment, the restaurant manager seemed to have heard the commotion and immediately came over. As soon as he saw that it was Mark Pattinson, he came forward respectfully.

"Mr. Pattinson, it's really you! My apologies, this waiter is new here and doesn’t know much. We’re truly sorry!" The manager then looked at the waiter and said, "Apologize to Mr. Pattinson quickly!"

Mark nodded.

After more apologies, the restaurant manager left.

Lyla looked at Mark and said, "Mr. Pattinson, you scare people to death everywhere you go!"

Mark leaned towards her and asked, "But why aren’t you afraid of me?"

She said, "You’re the same as me. We both have two arms and two legs, so why should I be afraid of you?"

If it were someone else, Mark would have let her know why she should fear him, but she was different.
