Arden looked at her. His heart skipped a beat. He was enticed by her adorable expression. He extended his hand and removed a dead leaf from her hair. Then, he said coldly, “You missed that one!”

Seeing Arden hold the dead leaf, Lyla smiled. Despite looking beautiful, there were some elements of cuteness found in her too.

“Alright, hurry back to your work station!” Arden smiled as he said coldly.

“Mhm!” Lyna nodded. “I’ll go first. Take a good rest, Arden!”

“Mhm!” Arden nodded.

Lyla smiled and walked into the company immediately.

After watching Lyla enter the company, only then did Arden drive away.

That scene was seen by Mark Pattinson. He found it extremely vexing.

He drew down the curtain furiously.

To have lunch until this hour!

That reluctance and entanglement, and not to forget the kissing in the public!

Apparently, that scene had been misinterpreted as a kissing scene by Mark Pattinson!

Ellis walked into the office. “Mr. Pattinson, the appointment has been made at a quarter past three!”

Mark Pattinson hummed, he thought of something and said, “Oh yea, ask Lyla to come along with me!”

“Mhm?” Ellis thought he had heard wrongly.

“What? Did I stutter?” Mark Pattinson refuted. He was bothered with that kissing scene, as if some belonging of his had been coveted.

Feeling the chillness from Mark Pattinson, Ellis nodded hurriedly. “Noted!”

Lyla stepped into the company on time. Never had she thought that as soon as she entered, she would receive orders from the top management to negotiate terms for a joint venture.

Also, out of nowhere, and in Kathleen’s absence, she would be given this mission. Lyla obeyed the instruction unhesitatingly.

Lyla walked to the car park according to the instructions given by the secretary. Against her expectation, she saw Mark Pattinson!

At that moment, only then did she realize that he was the one going out with her!

Lyla was a little stunned. Yet, she still walked over and greeted him, “Mr. Pattinson!”

Mark Pattinson leaned against his sports car. His slender figure looked alluring. When he saw Lyla, his gaze fell on her lips, and a glimpse of rage was caught in his eyes.

Lyla looked at him nonchalantly. Despite noticing that glimpse of fury, she had no idea how she had offended him.

“Get in the car!” Mark Pattinson retracted his gaze and spat out those words coldly. Then, he boarded the car.

Lyla was not bothered, or to be precise, she had grown accustomed to his mood swings.

Lyla walked over, opened the car door, and sat in. The moment she sat in, Mark Pattinson cranked up the car engine and sped off.

Lyla was shocked, nearly bumping her head. Apparently, Mark Pattinson did that on purpose.

She stared at Mark Pattinson furiously. He did not show any response. Lyla remained silent.

Mark Pattinson accelerated at full speed all the way. He overtook the vehicles on the highway, one after another, like a madman.

Lyla could not help but ask, “Mr. Pattinson, you may be looking forward to committing suicide, but not for me. Please treasure your life!”

As soon as she had finished her words, there was a screeching sound and the car stopped.

Mark Pattinson turned his over and looked at Lyla, his gaze filled with anger.

Lyla grumbled to herself, in what way had she offended him again?

In that instant, Mark Pattinson pressed himself against her. Without a word, he pressed his lips against Lyla’s.

Lyla was stunned.

Mark Pattinson’s kiss was autocratic and domineering.

Lyla looked at him furiously, “Mr. Pattinson, what’re you doing?”

“Kissing you!”

Lyla was furious. Just when she was about to open her mouth, she was held down by Mark Pattinson. “What’s your relationship with Arden?”

Lyla frowned. Both of her hands were placed on his muscular chest and she could feel his heartbeat. She also sensed other unwanted reactions that suffocated her. Nonetheless, she tried to calm herself. “Mr. Pattinson, that’s a matter of privacy!”

“Are you with him?” Mark Pattinson ignored her reply and continued asking.

“No!”

“Then why did he kiss you?” Mark Pattinson asked.

Lyla frowned. “Mr. Pattinson, I’ve no idea what you’re talking about!”

“Don’t pretend. I’ve seen everything. Lyla, how daring of you to kiss another man in front of the company entrance!” Anyone could sense that Mark Pattinson was jealous.

Only then did Lyla recall the scene of Arden removing the dead leaf from her hair at the entrance.

“If that’s the case, so what? How is it related to you, Mr. Pattinson?”

True. There was nothing related to him. Yet, Mark Pattinson was very displeased!

Mark Pattinson stared at her furiously, then, he smirked. “Since you both are not in a relationship, if he can kiss you, why can’t I?”

Lyla was angry. “Mr. Pattinson, if this is the purpose of you asking me out. I’m afraid I’ve to go back now!” Lyla was about to leave but the car door was immediately locked by Mark Pattinson, whose reactions were much faster.
