Rotten Twins: Making a CEO a Daddy นิยาย บท 176

Gretel frowned. Naturally susceptive to her environment, she turned around only to be taken aback by the person behind her. She then nudged Hansel with her elbow. “Hansel...”

“What?”

Gretel motioned him to look ahead. Hansel followed her gaze and took notice of the person sitting near far away. His full brows furrowed.

The person seemed to be waiting for them as he had been looking in this direction.

Without Hansel and Gretel going over, the person came on over.

Justin came forth towards them. “Do you want something to eat?”

Hansel sneered. “Are you trying to kidnap us this way? I’m sorry, but we’re not three-year-olds.”

This child was not so much a charmer but his attitude made Justin laugh. “Why would I choose this place if I’m kidnapping you? That'd be bold, don’t you think?”

“What can we do for you?”

“Let’s have a chat.”

“I don’t think that’s necessary.” Hansel refused.

“Why?”

“Because my mommy probably doesn’t like me getting close to you.” Hansel was frank.

Justin stared at him, realizing his bright eyes, clear head and firm stance really resembled that of Mark.

He was tickled with curiosity.

“Don’t misunderstand. I just wanna talk with you,” Justin said.

With Justin insisting, Hansel gave it a thought. “Alright then, let’s go to the cafe next to the hospital, in case Mommy gets worried if she can’t find us.”

“Okay.”

Hence, the trio went along together.

Sitting side by side, Hansel and Gretel drank some beverages while Justin had coffee and carefully studied the pair.

The boy was identical to Mark whereas the girl was the splitting image of Lyla.

Needless to say, since the adults were good-looking themselves, the apple would not fall far from the tree.

This amazing combination was hard to come by.

Say, if it were not for the conflict at home, Justin would probably be overjoyed.

“Don’t tell me, you had us come here just to stare at us?” Hansel probed.

Justin curled his lips. “What’s your name?”

“Hansel.”

“What about you?”

“Gretel.”

“Why don’t you have a last name?” He asked with a frown.

“Hansel Lowe and Gretel Lowe. We have a last name,” Hansel explained.

Justin then nodded. “What a strange name.”

“Mommy said it’s a rather magnanimous name.”

Justin grew curious to hear the boy bring up his mommy many times. “It seems that you really listen to your mommy’s every word.”

“Of course. She’s my mommy. I would listen to her.”

Hansel’s mind was clear and suggested a sign of wariness and vigilance.

“Sir, you called me here to ask about this?” Hansel asked.

“Can’t we just have a casual conversation?”

“Okay, let’s chat.” Hansel was straightforward.

“How old are you?”

“Seven.”

“Have you been living abroad with your mommy?”

“Yes.”

“How was it? Was it hard?”

“It’s alright, not as hard as you think, Sir.”

Justin was not pleased to be addressed as Sir by Hansel.

“Can’t you talk properly?”

“How am I not talking properly?” Hansel returned with a question. He did not appear to be intimidated by Justin.

“Why are you unpleasant like your mommy?” Justin remarked with a frown.

Hansel was not going to take it sitting down. He stood up. “There’s nothing more to say if that’s the case. Please enjoy your drink.” With that, he took a glance at Gretel. “Let’s go.”

Keeping up with Hansel, Gretel got on her feet to leave.

Before the pair could even take one step, Justin became distressed. “Come back here!”

“Why?”

“Sit down!”

“Who are you to tell me to sit? Why should I listen to you?”

“Your old man listens to me.”

“That’s him. What does it have to do with me?”

Justin. “...”

This child was no different to Mark, not knowing what was good for them all the same.

“Sit down!”

Hansel rolled his eyes at him in helplessness. They made a U turn and took a seat. “Sir, seriously, you don’t like me and yet you insist on chatting with us. What are you after?”

“Can’t I be a fan of maltreatment?” Justin enquired.

Hansel. “...”

This old man sure had a foreign flavor to him. That was what Hansel found out.

“Sure, sure, sure. Do tell.” Impatient, Hansel absent-mindedly bobbed his head.

“I haven’t said much and you’re already restless.”

“You can talk about me but please don’t speak ill of my mommy,” Hansel uttered.

Judging by his resolute tone of voice, Hansel did not seem to be kidding. It never crossed Justin’s mind that he really had Lyla’s back.

It appeared that she had raised a good son.
