Rotten Twins: Making a CEO a Daddy นิยาย บท 364

On the other end, Ms. Davis was behind the wheel, swiftly taking Delilah away from trouble.

Midway, she took notice from the rear-view mirror of a car following behind. Ms. Davis could tell that it was Piers, the stalker from the other day. With that in mind, she furrowed her brows.

Jesus!

She should not have trusted Mark!

Bearing that thought in mind, she stepped on the gas and hurtled along.

Piers was not to be trifled with. He was sure that she would not pull the emergency brake because there was someone of importance to her sitting in her car. Noting this point, Piers bore no scruples and had it in the bag.

“Hey, slow down,” Neil said, sitting beside him.

“She’d get away if I slow down. What if it happens again? Are you going to be responsible for that?” Still holding on to the steering wheel, Piers responded.

As they engaged in conversation, another car came from the opposite direction while the car in front made an abrupt turn. They only caught a glimpse of Ms. Davis’ car after she swerved over. Scared out of his wits, Neil yelled, “There’s a car. F*ck. Can you please slow down?”

“Even if you’re scared, I don’t have the time to drop you off. Bear with it,” Piers bluntly replied.

“Scared?” Neil frowned unhappily at the comment. He then looked at Amanda in the back seat with affectionate eyes. “Yes, I’m scared, scared that a certain somebody is afraid...”

Amanda was indeed a little terrified as she never encountered such a situation after all. Nevertheless, the look on Neil’s face put her in the spot for a brief moment before a sense of security overwhelmed her for some unknown reason.

D*mn it!

Piers was not having it.

This was not the time to be flirting around.

Amanda spoke up, “I’m fine. Piers, drive however you need to to get that person. I trust you.” Her tone was gentle yet firm.

Hearing this, Piers was hot with emotions. “See that, Neil? Now, this is manning up.” He swiftly accelerated...

Without a word, Neil stared straight at Amanda before reaching out to grab her hand. Amanda was blushing in the face yet feigned ignorance as she averted her gaze away.

As though injected by a booster and in an act to redeem himself, Piers raced at incredible speed. Nonetheless, it was clear that he had the talent for driving as he soon caught up with Ms. Davis’ car. One was a sports car while the other, a regular vehicle, hence there was no competition. Piers was closing in on her.

Just then, an idea came into Neil’s head after observing a tree ahead. He immediately informed Piers, “Look at the tree in front...”

Looking at the tree, Piers got the message. “But Ms. Collins is also in her car...”

“Trust me. She knows where to cross the line, not just for her sake, but for Delilah. She won’t go overboard.” Neil refreshed Piers’ memory.

Piers was convinced on this point.

Judging by the things Ms. Davis had done, her feelings and loyalty to Delilah was quite obvious

Passing up the hesitation, Piers forced her into a dead end, with no way out. Ms. Davis, on the other hand, stood no chance against Piers and abruptly pressed on the brakes at the sight of the tree.

Bam!

Despite braking, the car still ran into the tree. Fortunately, there was quite a buffer before the crash so the collision was not that bad.

Sitting in the car, Ms. Davis had a nasty bump but quickly turned behind to check on Delilah. She thanked her lucky stars that Delilah turned out alright.

However, her fists balled up following the emergence of the car behind. A hint of resentment flared up in her narrowed eyes.

Ms. Davis was about to push open the door and get down when police sirens were heard. She turned her gaze over in surprise...

Three to four police cars rolled in before them. “Civilians in the vehicle, step away from the car and cooperate with our investigation...”

Caught by surprise, Piers turned to glance at Neil. “Who called the cops?”

“What are you looking at me for? It wasn’t me,” Neil blurted.

Sitting in the back seat, Amanda uttered, “It wasn’t me.”

Piers, “...”

How odd.

“Get down. We will have to take measures into our hands if you refuse to leave the car.”

“What do we do?” Piers asked.

“Comply, of course. It’s not like we can go against the police.” Neil unbuckled the seat belt and stepped out of the car.

Piers followed suit.

Amanda was not afraid since they were around. With that, she got down.

The moment they stepped out of the car, Neil shouted at the police. “Mr. Officer, the person in that car is a kidnapper. We’re only kind citizens lending a hand in times of trouble.”

Piers turned to Neil. “...”

He was speechless.

Indeed, the people by Mark’s side were as such and even the most graceful in bearing was no exception.

However, it was to Piers’ liking.

Echoing the same, Amanda yelled, “Yes, Mr. Officer, sir. We are good people and those in the car in front are the bad guys.”

Piers, “...”

With this couple singing the same tune, he might as well keep up too.

“Mr. Officer, we have proof. It’s true.”

The trio played off one another, pissing off the person in the front vehicle.

Pulling a long face, Ms. Davis stared at the people outside while gnashing her teeth in hatred. She quietly took out a thing from under the seat when a hand suddenly held her down.

Taken aback, she turned around to find Delilah looking back at her. Ms. Davis widened her eyes in shock. Was she not...

“Caty, don’t make another mistake...” Delilah gazed at her with endless regret in her eyes.

Ms. Davis shied away from her gaze. “I don’t know what you’re talking about...”
