The delivery man headed off.

As soon as he departed, Lily jumped out from behind. “Wow! Who sent you such a big bouquet of flowers? Hmph? Lyla, out with the truth!”

Lyla shook her head, at a loss. “I’m not sure too!”

“A secret admirer? But why not roses instead?” Lily frowned.

“These are my favourites!”

Lily opened her mouth in shock. Then, she smiled and said, “Looks like the sender knows you well!

Lily frowned and looked at the fresh flowers. Then, she picked up the name card, opened it and saw a line of English words written in it: Lady Luck has smiled upon me because she allowed me to meet you. I hope you’ll be happy every day.”

Which, in layman terms, would be: I’m lucky to have met you. I hope you’ll be happy everyday.

The undersigned was Arden.

“Arden? Which Arden?” Lily asked.

Arden?

Lyla frowned again “Could it be Arden Pattinson?”

“Arden Pattinson? Mr. Pattinson from the J.P Corporation?” Lily was astounded and she had guessed correctly.

“This…..”

“I heard he was your senior at the university. Is he your admirer?” Lily asked curiously.

Lily’s words piqued everyone’s interest. They were curious and approached Lyla for the truth!

Lyla frowned. She was unsure too. If what she said was true, what was he trying to imply by sending her a bouquet of flowers out of the blue?

Just when the commotion was about to escalate into an uproar, someone shouted respectfully, “Mr. Pattinson!”

Everyone instantly fell silent and turned their bodies around to see the person behind.

Mark Pattinson stood behind them. He wore dark clothes that showed off his sturdy physique. An ambiguous smile was shown on his smooth features. When he glanced at Lyla who was holding a bouquet of fresh flowers, he smirked.

This woman indeed attracted a lot of admirers!

To send a bouquet of flowers!

Only a three-year-old kid would do that. So childish!

In Mark Pattinson’s view, courting a woman by sending a bouquet of flowers was most childish and old-fashioned.

Mark Pattinson never had to crack his head for any women. He had never experienced the pain of courting a woman. All the while, his women surrendered themselves to him on their own free will instead of the other way round.

“Seems like everyone has time to spare. Aren’t there any tasks to work on?” Mark Pattinson said faintly. He did not raise his voice yet the chillness in his tone gave everyone the creeps.

Upon finishing his words, everyone returned to their respective seats hurriedly and started to work.
